- Description
- Background: The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is a national laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), operated and managed by the Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC (the Alliance). NREL advances the science and engineering of energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, and renewable power technologies and provides the knowledge to integrate and optimize energy systems. Located in the foothills of Golden, Colorado, NREL is the only federal laboratory dedicated to the research, development, commercialization, and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. The Alliance, as the Prime Contractor for the DOE to manage and operate NREL, is seeking a subcontractor to provide Psychometric Services for Updating the Multifamily Home Energy Professional Job Task Analysis (Energy Auditor and Quality Control Inspector). National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is facilitating the development of a job task analysis (JTA) for multifamily (MF) energy auditors and quality control inspectors that could be used by training entities to align training curriculum when providing accredited multifamily training to the marketplace. The JTA identifies and catalogs the job tasks, a worker performs in a given job category, and the essential knowledge statements, defining the minimum requirements necessary for a person to adequately perform his/her job. The JTA is a major component of certification schemes and accredited training programs where alignment with recognized JTAs is required. Objective: The objective of this Sources Sought is to identify potential subcontracting companies that are qualified and capable of meeting the project objectives. The project objective is to assess the current relevance of the four existing multifamily JTAs, and where appropriate; combine, add, edit, or remove content resulting in an updated energy auditor and quality control inspector JTA in accordance with industry best practices and market trends.
