Description

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization-Pacific, Pearl Harbor, HI intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP (JCFP) for a base year and four option years. Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services (EMSS) Capabilities Office Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression and Security System Maintenance. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, and services to support operation of the Gateway Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression and Security systems located at the EMSS Gateway Facility, JBPHH, Wahiawa, Hawaii and the security system at the DFLT, Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA on a 24X7 365 days a year basis. The fire alarm, fire suppression, and security system installed at EMSS Capabilities Office previously was the Simplex Grinnell brand. JCFP had acquired Simplex Grinnell through a business merger and became the new service provider of the system.� JCFP is the manufacturer and sole provider of the fire alarm, fire suppression and security system maintenance for the EMSS Capabilities Office facilities. JCFP confirms that it does not have any resellers. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 3204 (a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. � All responsible sources will be considered in evaluating the determination to issue a sole-source contract. �This notice of intent is not a request for quotation/proposal. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice cannot be accepted since this synopsis cannot be considered a request for quote or a request for proposal.� A solicitation will NOT be posted to SAM.gov due to the sole source nature of the requirement.
