Description

THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Defense Logistics Agency to identify potential manufacturing/supply sources, and if future efforts can be competitive or Set Aside for Small Business. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 335312 which has a corresponding Size Standard of 1,250 employees. This SSS is to notify companies that the Defense Logistics Agency, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is seeking qualified sources for AC, GENERATING SYSTEM: �6115-01-137-9504 with corresponding Part Numbers: 179-60500-11 in support of the CH-47 BK Chinook weapon system. Item is not a flight critical safety item. Contractor First Article Testing is Required. Non-Approved Sources require Source Approval. ��� Currently the only approved sources of supply for this item are: The Boeing Company CAGE CODE 77272 Safran Electrical & Power UK LTD CAGE CODE K4358 The technical data for this part has undergone full screening per the DFARS PGI 217.7506, Spare Parts Breakout Program. The assigned AMC/AMSC is 1P. This item is suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time from the indicated approved source(s) of supply. The rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional source(s) are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed, or otherwise obtained. The Government has access to the data but does not own the rights to the data. The rights ownership has been verified through the Project Management Office. There is no cause to contest the ownership of the rights. Reverse engineering is not feasible. THE FOLLOWING BOEING DRAWING(S) DWG 179-60500 REV M, AL 179-60500 REV F, PL 179-60500 REV E, ECNH47-035676 REV 01, AND/OR SPECIFICATION(S) ARE NOT CURRENT WITHIN AMCOM EDIS. INABILITY TO OBTAIN THE LISTED DRAWING(S) AND/OR SPECIFICATION(S) HAS RESULTED IN A TECHNICAL DATA DEFICIENCY WITHIN THE TDP, AND HAS RESULTED IN RESTRICTING THE PROCUREMENT TO THE PRIME CONTRACTOR/ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER (OEM). CURRENT DRAWING(S) AND/OR SPECIFICATION(S) IN BOEING CITIS ARE PROPRIETARY INFORMATION TO BOEING HELICOPTERS. The Government is interested in all businesses to include 8(a), small business and small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hub-Zone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. All contractors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be registered as a potential source. Firms that possess the ability and can produce the required item(s) described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Contractors are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by emailing inquiries to: usarmy.redstone.ccdc-avmc.mbx.ame-sar@army.mil. The contractor shall be capable of successfully performing and complying with any and all special requirements in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the solicitation annotated above, at the unit prices established at time of a contract award. The contractor will be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering services associated with becoming a qualified source. The contractor will also be responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing/production process, including but not limited to supply chain management, logistics, forecasting of parts, long-lead parts procurement, material forecasting, obsolescence issues and final delivery of assets as well as any and all additional costs incurred resulting from contract performance.
