Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Getinge LLC. This order will be for service and maintenance to Getinge for Total Care IQ services for the Simulation IQ, an intelligent simulation management operating platform located on the campus of the Hampton VA Medical Center. The Getinge certified technician shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, lodging and supervision necessary to perform preventative maintenance for Getinge s sterilizers, washers, RO (reverse osmosis) and boiler systems for the Hampton VA Medical Center (VAMC) Sterile Processing Service located at Building 110A, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA. All work shall be performed by personnel qualified to work on Getinge manufactured equipment and shall be compliant with latest published edition of NFPA, UL, OSHA, FDA-CDRH, Joint Commission and VA standards and shall be designed to assure that the Hampton VA Medical Center is ensured that the equipment performance/specifications are equal to or exceed the performance specifications when the equipment was originally accepted after procurement. All authorized technical representatives are equipped with proprietary CS1000 Software for diagnosing, programing, calibrating, and repairing all Getinge equipment. Getinge does not allow other service organizations to utilize this technology because extreme care must be taken not to change the programs and making unwanted machine modifications. This proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within two (2) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement no later than 12:00 PM EST, September 28, 2023 to: warren.pennil@va.gov.
