- **NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE** This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award under FAR Part 8 Limited Sources Award for Preventive Maintenance and Repairs on Omnicell Equipment Systems to support the Department of Veterans Affairs, Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center located at 510 Butler Ave, Martinsburg, WV 25405. The proposed award is to, OMNICELL INC (SAM UEI: L5KFJWTBJDN5), the only recognized factory service provider for Omnicell Equipment (REF: Attachment A below). Award will be made under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Only OMNICELL INC can provide the required service on the Omnicell Equipment systems, per the Sole Source Letter received from Omnicell Inc. on 8/1/2023. The term of service shall be 11/1/2023 to 10/31/2026 (Base Year + 2 Option Years). Omnicell is a sole manufacturer and exclusive provider of Omnicell Products and support services for the Omnicell equipment in the United States. Omnicell does NOT contract products and or services to 3rd party, therefore there are no other sources capable of meeting the requirements needed to maintain and repair Omnicell pharmacy equipment. Pharmacy utilizes this equipment to securely store medicine throughout the medical facility of Martinsburg VAMC. Omnicell Inc. shall provide preventative maintenance on annual basis per manufactures specifications. Provide all corrective actions, supply all parts, labor, transportation, and software needed. Telephone support (24 hours/day 7 days per week). Remote software and interface diagnostics. On-site support. Software updates and upgrades with all Omnicell equipment and associated accessories. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this service is 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance). Product Service Code (PSC) is J065 (Maintenance, Repair and Rebuilding of Equipment: Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies). Small business size standard is $34.0 million. While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency, by emailing such statement and supporting documentation by NLT 2:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), 9/28/2023 to Darren G.
