- In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) , this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to the large business manufacturer, CIRS Inc, located at 900 Asbury Ave, Norfolk VA 23513: ITEM # DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES QTY UNIT OF ISSUE 0001 SBRT Thorax 036S with 008S, 3rd Axis and Base Plate Combination 1 ea 0002 4D CT QA Insert 1 ea 0003 nanoDot OSL Rod with 3cm Target Insert 1 ea 0004 Radiochromic Film Configured Lung Equivalent Rod (For Single Film Placement) 1 ea 0005 Dynamic Thorax Lung Rod-CV53-2 1 ea The Phantom is designed for comprehensive analysis of image acquisition and dose delivery in image guided radiation therapy. This equipment is used to mimic both internal and external motion of a human thorax through use of a moving lung rod. SBRT has been proven to be a safe, effective and efficient treatment for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. The Phantom allows the technician to simulate various types of cardio-raspatory motions inside a human like thorax. The Phantom body approximates the average human thorax in both size and structure using simplified geometries. The Phantom Thorax enables medicinal dose measurements to critical structures and high dose-gradient areas using small volume on chambers and radiochromic film. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334510 and the Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Friday, September 16, 2023. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
