The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, FL (NSWC PCD) intends to award a brand name, firm fixed price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to authorized sellers of the Teledyne Marine SEABAT T50-P. This procurement is brand name for the following reason: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is developing and seeking new generation sensors for integration with both Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) and Un-crewed Surface Vehicle (USV) systems. A next generation sensor of particular importance is a bathymetric capable multi-frequency downward looking sonar (DLS) in a form factor compatible with AUVs and various USV platforms. The ideal DLS sensor candidate would generate data in forms suitable for the development of advanced navigation algorithms, obstacle avoidance, terrain mapping, and with the resolution required for detection and classification of underwater objects. In addition, this system has the ability to be used in GPS-denied environments of which will assist in the development of the next-generation algorithms. The Teledyne Reson SeaBat T50P-series is the only production DLS unit with the specifications, performance, functionality and form factor needed to meet the aforementioned high-level requirements. This unit is the only interoperable unit that is compatible with current NSWC PCD Teledyne Marine Systems Sensors that are currently being used for data fusion efforts. If another brand were to be selected, it would not be 100% compatible with the currently owned Teledyne Marine Systems Sensors. As a result, only the Teledyne Marine brand is acceptable. Destination to the Naval Support Activity Panama City (NSA PC), Receiving Office Building 100, 100 Vernon Ave., Panama City, FL 32407.
