- SOLE SOURCE - STEELCASE� The USSOUTHCOM Personnel Recovery Office requires frosted glass installation in new cubicle workspaces to prevent unauthorized disclosure of classified information.� The Chief of Staff. USSOUTHCOM issued a directive that all future purchases of furniture must be of the same colors, makeup, and configuration of the current furniture. Since the Command is furnished with Steelcase products it is important to maintain uniformity and interchangeability of the furniture as much as possible. It is important to the USSOUTHCOM Commander to have spare parts that can be used to maintain the aesthetics and uniformity throughout the Command facility. Using one manufacturer gives USSOUTHCOM the flexibility to realign office configurations to accommodate changes due to growth or shrinkage within the command staff functions. There are two (2) STEELCASE distributors and installers in the local area, Perdue Office Interiors and Empire Office Inc. However, due to administrative issues with Empire Office Inc., Empire can no longer provide USSOUTHCOM any type of service (quote, design, and material). Therefore, Perdue Office Interiors is the only local source and distributor of Steelcase for USSOUTHCOM.
