Description
Vendor Questions What are the hours moving is permitted in the building? Moving is to take place outside of business hours. This can be prior to 8:00am or after 4:30pm on weekdays and open availability on weekends. Notify the COR a minimum of 10 days prior to your anticipated move date. This notice is needed and the timeframes as well to coordinate the use of the freight elevator. All outside vendors used during the move shall submit a Certificate of Insurance to the COR prior to dates of service. Do they need to patch holes in the walls, left by the removal of the furniture? No, VA painters/carpenters will perform this as needed. Is the contractor responsible for providing elevator and floor protection to prevent damage to any surface? Yes, any items need to prevent damage should be supplied by the contractor.   Will there be any IT assets needing to be moved? No, the contractor will not be responsible for moving any computers or personal items from workstations.  Will there be any Office Supplies needing to be moved? No, the contractor will not be responsible for moving any office supplies that may be stored in cabinets. The VISN HR staff should have that all cleaned out by the time this project begins. Will the contractor need to disconnect IT and electrical from the workstations? No, VA Electricians and IT staff will be responsible for disconnecting power to the workstations and for the removal or any IT cabling. I will submit work orders for that.  The awarded vendor will not be responsible for any of that. Will there be any VA equipment/assets needing to be moved? No, the contractor does not have to move any equipment  such as TV s, refrigerators, microwaves, etc Anything with an EE number will be moved by the VA.
