Description

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized; no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. U.S. Coast Guard, Director of Logistics (DOL-94) hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to HDT Expeditionary Systems to provide U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Unit 311 (PSU) with the brand name supplies listed below. HDT part number 2004549 ECU, 6 ton basic 208V/60HZ, IEC Con Tan Qty: 4 each This effort will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This is being sole sourced to HDT Expeditionary Systems, the original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), based on the fact that they are the only source capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Purchase of these supplies from a source other than HDT Global using commercial procedures would result in additional cost and potential schedule delays. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333413 with a size standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit capability statement to contract specialist listed below which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There will be no written solicitation issued. The government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. This is an intent to purchase a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
