- Description
- Amendment 0004 Technical Questions Solicitation 36C24623Q0729 Questions and Answers Is the scheduled work including preventative maintenance, load banks, or repairs required to be performed during any specific times outside of normal working hours? No, all scheduled work will be performed during normal work hours. In section 3.2.2. it is stated Should the two-hour load bank test be interrupted for any reason including repair or replacement of parts, restoring emergency power for emergent conditions, generator shut down, etc., the test must be repeated to meet the two-hour continuous requirement. In the event this happens will it be permissible to charge an hourly rate for the time spent performing the load bank prior to failure? This is not what that paragraph says. Para 3.2.2 is regarding the use of a rental generator and associated connections. In section 3.2.2. it says that in the event a repair is expected to exceed 4 hours, a rental generator of comparable capacity to carry the load will be provided connected and disconnected. Will the cost of the rental generator, cables, delivery charge and labor required for setup and breakdown be paid for by the contract holder once the total cost is determined? Government to cover cost of everything listed, except labor for setup. This is clearly stated in the paragraph. In the price/cost schedule, every contract period (Base, option 1, option 2, option 3, option 4) specify a 4 hour load bank, however, in the body of the contract it specifies 2 hour load banks every year except for 2026 when a 4 hour load bank is required. Could you confirm the duration of the load banks and revise the contract options as needed? The requirements specify 2 hour load banks every year except for 2026 when a 4 hour load bank is required For emergency repairs would you like the trip charge and hourly rate to be itemized? Additionally, would you like for the prices to be specified for work completed during normal working hours and work that is scheduled to be completed after hours? Yes, please list as separate line items. What is the size of the fuel tanks? Update 7/14: fuel capacities are listed below. Location Day Tank Belly Tank UST AST Bldg. 15 75 2200 Bldg. 137 8000 Bldg. 146 4735 Bldg. 148 4735 Bldg. 116 100 4000 Bldg. 14 500 Bldg. 27 1250 Bldg. 110 275 12000 Bldg. 110A 275 2500 Bldg. 110B 275 12000 Note: Bldg 110 / 110B is a shared 12,000 gal Generator/building # 44, which is the Kohler 80KW located at a building that is currently under construction and we were not able to see it during our site visit. When the generator will be operational? And if it being new, will it affect the preventative maintenance and load bank scheduling? Information is located on pages 8 15 of the attached spec sheet. Can the government provide a picture of the generator tag with the model number, serial number and size? Information is located on pages 8 15 of the attached spec sheet. Please confirm that the generators 110A and 110B in building 171 are the only generators with an underground tank. This is correct. It is located West of Building 171. Is the hot oil sample needs to be taken at every quarterly inspection or if its once annually? Sample needs to be taken annually. Is Spectro Chemical the company that the oil samples need to be sent to? or if that is a specific type of oil test? Spectro Chemical is the name of the company.
