Description
Objective: The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (OBVAMC) located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) is seeking a contractor to provide a stretcher/or cot for the ambulance service. The desired outcome for this request is to provide transportation for our Veterans. Scope: The contractor shall provide all resources that are necessary to accomplish the deliverables referenced in this Statement of Work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The contractor shall deliver a stretcher/or cot to OBVAMC. Background: The ambulance arrived in FY21 without a stretcher/or cot to transport Veterans from various locations within the surrounding area. The request for this stretcher/or cot will be of great assistance to provide transportation for Veterans to/from the local hospitals, assisted living communities, and the local VA/CBOC s. Without the stretcher we are unable to provide transportation to our bed bound veterans. Delivery can be made to Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, 510 E. Stoner Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101. Contractor shall provide on delivery to area requesting purchase. General Requirement: Salient Characteristics are the following: Must fit Stryker Power Load # 6990 IC; 4919E-6390 Must safely transport patient. battery-powered hydraulic system  transport a maximum of 700 lb (318 kg) collapsible for use in emergency vehicles Must also include: Dual wheel lock, restraint package, retractable head section 02 bottle holder, 3-stage IV pole PR, equipment hook, H/E storage flat, side rail, mattress, Knee-Gatch, Dual compatibility, backrest storage pouch, steer-lock
