- The US Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Satellite and Information Acquisition Division (SIAD) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Communications & Power Industries (CPI), to purchase nine (9) spare parts for its 16.4 meter Hurricane Rated (HR) 1 and HR2 parabolic satellite antennas (antennas) located at the Wallops Command and Data Acquisition Station (WCDAS).� The purchase of spare parts ensures adequate support of the antennas and the procured spares must be of the exact same specifications, size, and interface as equipment that is already installed in the antennas.� CPI is the manufacturer for the spares: LNA Controller - 508-062-001 Noise Diode - 625-049-001 Transfer Switch Waveguide LNA Plate - 611-036-001 TX Waveguide Switch - F032338 Heater ASSY 500/1000/1500W 120VAC - 058637-01 Thermostat with Remote Bulb - F004080 Relief Valve 1/2 PSI VRV-125-B-B-.5 - 258001-001 Feed Window Replacement Kit for 070053-01 Relay DPDT, 120VAC - 48.52.8120.0060 The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Only one responsible source.� This is for procurement of commercial supplies in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing with a business size standard of 1,250 employees. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, nor will one be posted on the Contract Opportunities website. The determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� However, if any interested party believes that it is capable of meeting the requirements, and in an effort to comply with the requirements outlined in FAR 5.102, a firm may request an electronic copy of the solicitation from the Contract Specialist, jane.bu@noaa.gov All electronic correspondence shall have the subject line read:� Announcement Number: SIAD-NE-EB2000-23-00906. All responsible sources may submit a Capability Statement and/or a quote in accordance with the solicitation, which may be considered by the agency if received on or before 1:00 PM EST on September 1, 2023.� The Capability Statement must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NOAA to determine if the party can meet all of the requirements. This notice will remain open to September 1, 2023.
