- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 75N95023Q00458 and the solicitation is issued as request for quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is for a commercial item or service and is conducted under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13Simplified Acquisition Procedures; and FAR Part 12Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is seeking a High-performance scientific Complementary MetalOxideSemiconductor (sCMOS) digital camera with equivalent capabilities to the ORCA-Fusion BT Digital CMOS Camera Kit (Manufactured by Hamamatsu, Inc.) intended to be part of a TIRF microscope system. The TIRF -capable microscope system on this project is an instrument specifically designed for single molecule spectroscopy in biological systems. This system allows for finding, describing and characterizing molecular complexes labeled with fluorescent tags with a spatial resolution able to resolve individual molecules, while keeping temporal resolution on a range that allows the study of the dynamics relevant for biological events at the molecular level. This instrument makes possible to determine very specific details about the composition, structure and interactions of a macromolecular complex, which in the case of the project, will be used for the study of G-protein coupled receptor complexes found in biological systems. This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement.
