Description

The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) Terminal and En-Route Contracts Division has awarded Contract No. 693KA7-23-C-00005, formerly solicitation No. 693KA7-22-R-00036 to ARINC Incorporated/Collins Aerospace based in Annapolis, Maryland, for Aeronautical Mobile Communications Service (AMCS). The total value of the contract is $274 million assuming all options are exercised and will run for six (6) years (one base and 5 option years) for High Frequency (HF) radio voice message relay services. AMCS provides mission critical voice communications between the Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures (ATOP) system, the Flight Data Processing 2000 (FDP-2000) system and international flights. AMCS services serves Oakland ARTCC (ZOA), Anchorage ARTCC (ZAN) and Islip, New York ARTCC (ZNY) facilities. Under this contract, ARINC will continue to provide AMCS to support control of aircraft within the United States oceanic Flight Information Regions (FIRs) and adjacent oceanic regions as tasked to the FAA by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). ARINC will provide High Frequency (HF) voice and Very High Frequency (VHF) voice and data communications services for delivery of messages between aircrafts and FAA's Air Traffic Control (ATC) flight advisory facilities via ARINC's and the FAA's ground networks.
