Description
The USACE Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of one aluminum crewboat. The crewboat will be a twin-screw, diesel-powered vessel with an aluminum hull and cabin. The vessel is intended to serve the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis Service Base in support of its various missions. The principal dimensions of the barge shall be as follows: Length (molded): Maximum 38�-0� Breadth (molded) Maximum 14�-0� Depth: 7�-6� Draft: 3�-2� The deckhouse top shall be sloped aft. The deckhouse shall have seating for 18 passengers and a pilot. The vessel will have 2 crew members, a pilot and deckhand. The vessel shall have a 600-gallon fuel tank. The minimum speed requirements shall allow for the vessel to make 35 MPH transiting upriver, at max payload capacity. Contractor will be required to fabricate and deliver the vessel to the Government. Delivery and final acceptance will be at the USACE St. Louis District Service Base, St. Louis, MO. There will be liquidated damages associated with this procurement. Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonding will be required. The Invitation for Bid Number (IFB) W912BU-23-B-0028 is intended to be available on or about August 16, 2023. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors may download the solicitation (including drawings) and any amendments via the hyperlink to the Sam.Gov website, www.sam.gov , on (or after) the issue date. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Web. All amendments to the IFB will be posted to the Sam.Gov website. It is the offeror�s responsibility to monitor the website in order to access the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. Bids will be due on, or about September 16, 2023. NAICS code is 336611 � Ship Building and Repair. All contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Information on getting registered may be obtained by accessing the SAM website at www.sam.gov . Instructions will be included in the solicitation. Also, all Services Disabled/Veterans Owned Business or Veterans Owned Small Business must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center of Veterans Enterprise Vet Biz Registry located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/.
