Description
The contractor shall provide On-site Radiation Oncology Therapy Services by providing a 0.6 full-time equivalent (FTE) Board Certified Radiation Oncologiost, a 0.2 FTE Board Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist, and a 0.1 FTE Board Certified Medical Dosimetrist in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center (VAMC), Miami VA Healthcare System, Miami, FL. The contractor�s physician(s)� care shall cover the range of Radiation Oncology services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards. All Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Radiation Oncology Services are accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body contracted through the National Radiation Oncology Program (NROP). As such any Contractor providing on-site radiation oncology services must adhere to all the policies and procedures; practice standards, guidelines, patient care operations; patient safety; quality assurance and quality management of radiotherapy planning, equipment, and delivery; and continuous quality improvement initiatives promulgated by the American College of Radiology, American Society for Radiation Oncology and American Association for Physicist in Medicine. The Contractor shall propose a minimum of 0.6 (1248 hours) full time equivalent (FTE) Radiation Oncology Physician (ROP), 0.2 FTE (496 hours) FTE Therapeutics Medical Physicist (TMP), and 0.1 FTE (240 hours) FTE Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) key personnel to be credentialed and be available for scheduling to meet the requirements of the contract.
