Description
SOURCES SOUGHT HD Collector and Isolink II CH (component parts to Thermo Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer) � Duluth, MN Sources Sought Notice (SSN)/Request for Information (RFI) Synopsis: This is only a sources sought announcement published for market research purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This SSN/RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue a RFQ in the future. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this SS; all costs associated with responding to this SS will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. Not responding to this SS does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. EPA is seeking information and sources to purchase a HD Collector and a Isolink II to upgrade government owned Thermo Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer to expand research areas from carbon-only analysis to both carbon and hydrogen analysis. Draft specifications required for HD Collector include: � Shall be able to run in either Dual Inlet mode or continuous flow mode and include all equipment and peripherals required to switch between modes � Shall have a dedicated Hydrogen collector(s) for both continuous flow mode and for dual inlet mode � Differential pumping module (for high continuous flow transfer and sensitivity) � Fixed position ion optics � Automated diagnostics � Sensitivity of 1100 molecules per CO2 ion in continuous flow mode � Fiber optic signal transmission � Triple collector and D/H collector shall be included � Shall include an ion optical element that completely removes all ions other than HD+ Draft Specifications required for to upgrade GC Isolink II C to GC Isolink II CH include: � Shall be able to analyze individual compounds within light natural gas mixtures for d13C and d2H of hydrocarbon gases with a range of compositional values and include all equipment and peripherals needed for these analyses. � Shall demonstrate the ability to analyze hydrocarbon gases with composition of components as low as 0.15 mol% or lower � Shall supply a list of three installs where the end user is analyzing hydrocarbon gases Both the HD collector and Isolink II CH must be fully compatible and be able to interface with the government owned Thermo Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer and peripherals.
