- This is a request for information and will be used for market research purposes only. The sources sought notice is used to identify potential vendors that have the resources and capabilities to provide classes for The Recreational Therapy Office of the DC Medical Center for the Department of Veterans Affairs, by providing Glass Blowing and Metal Working classes for veterans who are novices to the trade. The Contractor Shall Provide the Following Requirements: The vendor will be responsible for providing: One class per week 8-week duration 5 pm to 9 pm 2-3 hrs. of glass workshop time + meals 8 students; 2 groups of 4 Each week starts with a meal and safety briefing The vendor will be responsible for educating the class on safety, outline of project possibilities and teaching how to use all equipment. The vendor will educate and work closely with the veterans in the class on welding, metalworking, glass cutting and how to execute all safely and effectively. Vendor will be responsible for providing safety equipment for veterans: safety glasses, hearing protection, leather welding gloves, welding jacket, rubber coated gardening style gloves, KN95 masks, and making sure they are wearing cotton based clothing and closed toed shoes. Vendor will be responsible for communicating any issues through Recreation Therapy via telephone or email to the Acting Recreation Therapy Supervisor. Details will be provided upon award. DC VAMC is a federal agency and is exempt from paying taxes on transactions. Vendor will waive all taxes annotated on the transaction quote. Interested & Capable Responses NCO 5 is seeking responses from businesses that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these services. Capability statement and summary of relevant experience conducting Portable Fire Extinguishers (FEs). servicing, tagging, maintenance, and replacement services for VHA and other healthcare entities. Ballpark cost estimate and suggested price schedule of what VHA could expect to pay your company to perform the work described above.
