This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this Sources Sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research. The Government will entertain question concerning this market research. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of business to modify the existing second set of Main Unit Stoplogs for the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington State. The set consists of 28 stoplogs. General Scope of Work: Modify the existing second set of Main Unit Stoplogs for Grand Coulee Dam. 1. Preparing required submittals 2. Picking up existing stoplogs and transporting them to a fabrication facility 3. Dis-assembly of existing stoplogs, as necessary for modifications 4. Demolition of portions of existing steel stoplogs 5. Fabricating steel components 6. Furnishing commercially available items including coil springs 7. Weld inspection 8. Shop testing 9. Coating 10. Re-assembly 11. Delivery Potential offers having technical capabilities necessary to meet the needs of the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via email. If your company is interested the specifications can be emailed to your company. The capability statement must include the following: 1) Company name and point of contact information. 2) DUNS Number 3) Business size whether large or small. If small please provide size/certification (to include 8(A), HUBZONE, SDVOSB, ETC.) Responses are due no later than 17:00 PM, PT, Fiday, August 04, 2023, and shall be electronically submitted to Terry Mest at tmest@usbr.gov. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requests.
