Description

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to Quantico Tactical Inc., 9796 Aberdeen Road, Aberdeen, NC 28315-7742. Cage Code: 80MP4, and UEI: YUFVFMS2U598, IAW FAR 13.106-1(b). The NAICS code is 332994. The USMS Training Division in conjunction with the USMS Armory and FBI Ballistic Research Facility has developed a USMS Rifle.� The USMS Rifle is built as a complete package consisting of the rifle, optic, back up iron sights, light, sling, 6 magazines, and a case.� This package requires 70 parts from 10 vendors.� During the development process USMS Armory built several prototypes that went through multiple revisions.� Once TD and Armory staff were satisfied, the generation three prototypes were sent to multiple districts and divisions within the USMS to get feedback from the field.� All feedback is documented on a T&E form and archived.� The items named above are produced by MAGPUL and have been through the FBI Ballistic Research Facilities� standard battery of �duty quality� tests.� It is the stock, grip, and folding back up iron sights currently recommended by the USMS TD and its FBI Ballistic Research Facility partners for the USMS Rifle Build configuration to be issued to DUSM�s. All the required MAGPUL components are sold by Quantico Tactical Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. All interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. �Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. �USMS will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. � The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
