NOTICE TYPE:� SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE �� �Marinos E Tsigas NAICS Code ���� 541690 � Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services PSC������ ��������������� R499 � Support � Professional: Other The U. S. International Trade Commission (USITC or Commission), intends to solicit and award a Purchase Order to Marinos Tsigas, 85509 Nelson St, Rockville, MD, 20850-1924, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� The USITC anticipates award of a Purchase Order, on a sole source basis, to Dr. Marinos Tsigas, for advisory services on the computable equilibrium modeling focusing on labor and non-tariff measures. Dr. Marinos Tsigas was a lead economist at the USITC.� He is a world-class CGE modeler and has authored numerous key papers on CGE modeling. In his previous contract with the Commission, Dr. Tsigas developed a multi-country, multi-sector CGE model which incorporates job search frictions and unemployment.� Dr. Tsigas would continue to help improve CGE models with realistic labor-market features, such as job search frictions, unemployment, and multiple types of workers. Dr. Tsigas would also advise USITC staff on integrating Non-Tariff Measure (NTM) estimates into the GTAP database. He would contribute to staff working papers applying the models to policy-relevant scenarios. Dr. Tsigas would hold training session(s) for USITC staff on the application of CGE models to real-world trade policy analysis. The period of performance: Base Year: ����� September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024 Option Year 1: September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025 Option Year 2: September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026 This notice is not a request for competitive quotations.� A Request for Quote will not be available for this requirement.� The intent of this solicitation is for informational purposes only.� However, any information received within five days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.
