- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION for firm fixed price purchase order for services to Beckman Coulter - Life Sciences. Beckman Coulter - Life Sciences will be responsible for providing a service agreement for the Beckman Biomek robotic stations belonging to the Laboratory branch, Division of Viral.� . Beckman Coulter - Life Sciences is the manufacturer of the Biomek robotic stations belonging to the Laboratory branch, Division of Viral. The requested service agreement will include all repairs, labor and travel incur during service calls for all units listed in the contract. This service agreement requires one annual preventive maintenance with a two-day on-site response time� for service calls. The agreement must include field application technical support on-site. Importantly, all hardware and software updates must be included for instruments included in the agreement.��� No other vendors� can offer Silver service agreement for Beckman robotic stations. The Biomek product line is property of Beckman and only Beckman can provide such service. The services are not available through any other vendors who meet the requirements. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) �and 10 U.S.C. 3406. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at cbp0@cdc.gov by COB 31 July, 2023.
