- Sources Sought Notice for Brand Name Equipment, Manufacture Markes International, Inc Brand Name Unity-XR with CIA Advantage 14 Posted Date: July 12, 2023 Procurement Office: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Headquarter Acquisition Division (HQAD) Office of Land Emergency Management 1200 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20460 Response Date: July 19, 2023 In accordance with FAR 5.201, 6.302-1, and FAR 12.202 and 13.106-1 (b)(1). This is a sources sought notice for a commercial brand name item. This is not a solicitation announcement. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up requests. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is performing market research to identify contractors that possess the capabilities to provide the Brand Name Unity-XR with CIA Advantage 14 which is manufactured by Markes International, Inc. The part numbers listed below includes installation and services with estimated time of delivery is 8 to 10 weeks. Brand Name Unity-XR with CIA advantage 14 includes Part Number: U-Unity-6H-XR Description: UNITY-CIA Advantage HL-xr Multi-Gas: 14 inert channels Part Number: U-GAS01-H Description: Multi-Gas, Dual regulator pneumatics accessory (for dry gas and carrier gas regulation) Water Management Part Number: U-KORI-H-XR Description: Kori-xr Multi-Gas for humid samples; allows simultaneous analysis of C2 and polars, oxygenates and pinenes Specification: U-Unity-6H-XR HL model for high and low concentrations, includes both MFC and loop options for sample introduction � Cryogen-free, for advanced water management, reduced running costs and enhanced productivity. � 14 channels with HL model and compatible with all canister/bag types/sizes. � Compatible with hydrogen, helium, air and nitrogen sample gases � Compatible with air toxics (canister or bag) in ambient air and soil gas analysis per US EPA Method TO-15 and other canister standards � Heated inert internal flow paths (up to 200�C) prevent carryover and allow high and trace level samples to be analysed in the same sequence without the need for dilution. � Internal standard additon via 1 mL loop or metered between 5-500 mL. � Fully automated control of sampling flow-rates, times and multi-channel sequencing � TO-17 compatible tube desorption capability features quantitative re-collection for repeat analysis � Sample stacking - multiple samples or standards loaded onto focusing trap before GC injection. � Pre-programmed parameters for common analytical and conditioning methods, offering rapid set-up. � Automated, intelligent system self-checking diagnostics, including leak isolation. � Preventative maintenance feedback with usage counter. � Easily upgraded with 100-tube autosampler (ULTRA-xr Multi-Gas) � Easily upgraded to 27 channels with CIA Satellite Multi-Gas (see U-CIASAT-2S) � Compatible with any make of GC(MS) and with all thermal desorption applications � Configured for electronic carrier gas control (ECC) for stabilisation of retention times UNITY-CIA Advantage-xr includes: Transfer line and GC/TD cable for connection to any commercial GC or GC/MS. Standard brochures and/or paraphrasing of the Brand Name will be considered sufficient to demonstrate the capabilities of an interested party in pursuant of making determination for Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC). Feedback and/or evaluation information will not be provided to any firm regarding their individual capability statements. Telephone calls, facsimiles, and/or requests for a solicitation will not be accepted or acknowledged. The capability statement should include the following: (1) Name of business. (2) Contact information (address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail, website address) (3) North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) , Business size and classification e.g., Small business, 8(a), HUBZone, Small Disadvantaged business, Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned business, and Women Owned small business; or Large Business. (4) Technical description of ability to meet the requirement (description should address technical competencies as Factory Authorized Service Provider and Product Brochure).
