- Description
- SOURCES SOUGHT Reclamation's Lower Colorado Dams Office (LCDO) has a requirement to upgraded hardware equipment for the Hoover Dam Waste Water Management System (HWWMS). The supplier shall provide updated hardware, which include programmable logix controllers known as PLC. This shall update the existing PLC's to a modern operating system and remain in compliance. This will keep the HWWMS products operating effectively and securely. Rockwell Software has been used to keep HWWMS systems running for over 20+ years. The system needs to be updated to the latest version of Rockwell hardware in order to prevent network downtime that could result in lost revenue for Reclamation, a loss of service for customers, and prevent environmental violations. The contractor shall provide new PLC hardware platform to replace the outdated SLC504 PLC's no longer being made by the manufacturer. The new PLC equipment also communicates via ethernet to the existing Allen Bradley 755 Variable Frequency Drives which are in service. The VFD drives are all recently newly installed. By having all the same manufacturer and in the same time reference will help with the overall performance of other government systems. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed purchase order.
