Description

This Request for Quote (RFQ) is for the procurement of forty (40) Brasch Radome Heaters and forty (40) associated swivel brackets for the National Logistics Support Center (NLSC) located in Grandview, MO. Brand Name Justification: The NEXRAD program selected Brasch Manufacturing Part number BTU-10-2083TK-1AS-1 as the electric heater for the WSR-88D weather radar. The manufacturer has discontinued this model and has replaced it with model number BH-240-U2100D-A0T. This new model was tested by Radar Operations Center (ROC) Engineering and deemed a suitable replacement for form, fit, and function. The heater must mount to the antenna pedestal utilizing existing mounting lugs on the pedestal. The heater must use existing wiring with no additional modifications or alterations, and must not interfere with the operation of the antenna. Utilizing the swivel bracket Brasch Manufacturing Part number BH-1024149-A0, available from the heater manufacturer, the replacement heater is a compatible fit with the WSR-88D antenna pedestal. Please carefully review and follow the Offeror Instructions in the solicitation documents. The NAICS code for this action is 333415 and is set aside 100 percent for small businesses. The government intends to procure these supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The government requires all contractors doing business with the government to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). In order to register with SAM and to be eligible to receive an award, all offerors must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). If you do not have a UEI Number, you can register and access the site by going to�www.sam.gov. Award will not be made to any contractor that is not registered in SAM.
