Description

NASA/Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a requirement for the extension of the Construction, Maintenance, Environmental, & Testing Services (COMETS) contract. NASA intends to purchase these services from Firelake-Arrowhead NASA Services. Only Firelake has the capability to provide critical support services with no loss of service in the areas of construction and environmental management at GRC. Specifically, the construction management, facility management, surveying, life safety code compliance, environmental management and waste disposal management at both GRC Lewis Field and Neil A. Armstrong Test Facility (ATF) until a follow-on contract is awarded, which is not anticipated to exceed twelve (12) months from the current contract expiration of September 30, 2023. The anticipated structure of this extension would be an initial three-month extension followed by an optional three-month extension, and then six (6) optional one-month extensions for a total of up to twelve (12) months. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Amanda.L.Larsen@nasa.gov not later than 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time on July 25, 2023. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
