- THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY � The Bureau of Reclamation, has a name brand or equal requirement to procure twelve (12) high fidelity accelerometers including support electronics and hardware composed of fifteen (15) ten meter (10m) Silicon Audio seismic cables, fifteen (15) Dual Digitizer Splitter Boxes (3-6 channels), twenty (20) Dual Digitizer Splitter Boxes modified with cable glad on one end, twenty (20) Splice Boxes, and twenty 0.6 meter Silicon Audio seismic cables to monitor and investigate ground motions from natural and/or induced earthquakes that may impact Reclamation facilities. The accelerometers will allow Reclamation to quantify on-site peak ground accelerations from a seismic event providing real-time critical information for dam managers and local engineers to assist in the implementation of inspection protocols. Additionally, the acquisition of continuous strong motion data affords the capability to assess verification of numerical models, natural modes, site-response/amplification, and other parameters related to the quantification of engineering properties of Reclamation facilities. The accelerometers procured will be integrated into the existing Strong Motion Monitoring Program Realtime Data Acquisition and Earthquake/Strong-Motion Notification System. This Pre-solicitation Notice is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This Pre-solicitation Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Bureau of Reclamation is not seeking quotes at this time and will not accept unsolicited quotes. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Pre-solicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Responses to the Pre-solicitation Notice will not be returned. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to continue to monitor the Beta Sam Opportunities (www.betasam.gov) site. The Bureau of Reclamation, Service Office, Denver, Colorado plans to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order. Delivery is required to be completed within 90 after award. This Pre-solicitation Notice seeks to provide information to interested parties about potential opportunity to provide seismic recorders they have available to the government as commercial of the shelf items. This office plans to post a solicitation under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334519 � �Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing�, on or about July 10, 2023.
