- Facilities.�� The contractor, with a minimum of 10 years veterinarian experience, must have a clinic equipped with sufficient specialized medical and testing equipment to provide any medical attention required to meet the health needs of the canines in the program, to include possible hospitalization should it be deemed necessary, and certified personnel to attend to emergencies in the different locations on a 365 days per year and 24/7 basis. Services.� The contractor must be able to provide a high level and quality of customer service to the canine program, providing monthly visits to every post and maintaining an individual health record for each canine in the program.� During each monthly visit the contractor must check, administer, and record in the canines� individual health log: Contractor should check the status of ears, teeth, overall condition of the mouth, and perform dental cleaning and dental treatments (such as root canals, fillings extractions, etc), and anal gland cleansing. Size and weight control should be checked and recorded. Results of the monthly wellness medical exam to include quarterly blood tests and general examinations of feces culture, depending on the season and climate. Status/validity of all vaccines, ensuring that all canines� vaccines are current and up to date. Control of Ectoparasites and Endoparasites with both topical and oral applications. Status of the canines� nutrition, ensuring that any nutrition issue is immediately addressed to ensure the proper health of the animals. Emergencies in different sites must be addressed if need be. Medication and lab work might be included in accordance with each site visit or hospitalization and emergency handled, to determine illness. Treatment of minor injuries and illnesses and continuous monitoring of the canines Submit a monthly report for the activities carried out during the period of invoice detailing the status of each canine in the program.
