- Contract Opportunity: Sources Sought � Ssystec Media Prep 20 Silver Service Agreement PSC:� 6640 NAICS: 334516 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation or commitment by the Government, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFQ) at this time. Responses to this Notice must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to determine the capability of United States based commercial manufacturing to provide the end products described below. ��In order for an end product to be considered manufactured in the United States, all manufacturing processes must take place in the United States and the cost of components mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States must exceed 60 percent of the cost of all the components. The USDA-ARS, PA The Livestock Issues Research Unit requires media preparation for up to 1,000 petri plates per research study. The Systec MediaPrep 20 can produce up to 120 liters of media in one setting and is capable of sterilizing agar and cooling the media in less than 90 minutes. The MediaPrep machine is used with the media filler machine to accurately dispense a set volume of agar into each petri plate using sterile technique. In addition to one year service contract plus 4 option years of service contract. Salient features includes: Dimensions (L x W x H in mm): 635 x 555 x 715 ����������� Chamber dimensions (0xH in mm):296 x 450 ����������� Inner vessel dimensions:266 x 422 ����������� Power requirements (Volts/Amps): 3 x 230/20 ����������� Weight (kg):91 ����������� Total process time including heating, sterilizing, and cooling to 50 degrees C lasts from 60-120 minutes. ����������� The MediaPrep machine works with the existing Systec Media Fill machine that LIRU currently has in the laboratory. Once the media is prepared, the technician will hook the media prep up to the media fill and begin the process of filling petri plates. ����������� Livestock Issues Research Unit needs to purchase a one-year service contract for preventative maintenance and repair on the media prep and media filler. Livestock Issues would like to have an optional four-year service plan in place for future PM�s and repairs on both the media filler and the media prep. � Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine a business entity�s ability to compete for this acquisition. ��ARS will accept responses from ALL socioeconomic categories in order to gain a more complete understanding of the market for these supplies.
