Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE FWS GREEN BAY FISH RESRC OFC 2661 Scott Tower Drive, New Franken WI 54229 (The Midwest Lake Electrofishing Systems (MLES) boat and electrofishing Infinity Control System) to MIDWEST LAKE MANAGEMENT, INC. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of: FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source To MIDWEST LAKE MANAGEMENT, INC: 7561 SW PRAIRIE RIDGE RD POLO, MO 64671-8754 Telephone: 816.804.5604 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 336612 - Boat Building. The object of this sole source award to MIDWEST LAKE MANAGEMENT, INC. The Midwest Lake Electrofishing Systems (MLES) boat and electrofishing Infinity Control System, provides the high-capacity output, up to 80 amps, necessary to target and reliably capture grass carp. Currently there are two know vendors with this product, MLES and Smith-Root. The Green Bay Fish & Wildlife Conservation Office, Aquatic Invasive Species electrofishing fleet is outfitted with MLES equipment. We have three Infinity Control Systems on hand and two more within the contracting process; it would be economically beneficial to be consistent and purchase from MLES as their parts are interchangeable. While the Smith-Root electrofishing boat may be of same quality, it is more expensive, and the parts are not interchangeable with the boats in our current fleet. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. Capability statements shall be submitted by e-mail ONLY as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment to the following address: mack_washington@fws.gov
