Description

Set-aside Status: Other than full and open competition not previously addressed The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD intends to negotiate a sole source Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures, IAW FAR 13.5, to BioMerieux, Inc. �The objective of this requirement is to provide Vitek 2XL reagents and consumables on an as-needed basis to WRAIR�s Bacterial Disease Branch (BDB); which does the testing for the Multidrug-resistant Organism Repository and Surveillance Network (MRSN) under the Department of Defense (DoD). WRAIR / AFIRMS has a need to be able to order Vitek 2XL reagents and consumables to test isolates submitted from Department of Defense Medical Treatment Facilities (DoD MTFs).� These items are specifically designed and calibrated to fit the government-owned bioMerieux Vitek 2XL instrument. This notice of intent is for information purposes only.� All sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide services outlined above.� A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response.� If no responses are received, within 15 days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
