- The U.S. Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command � Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Unicom Government, Inc., located at 15010 Conference Center Drive Suite 110, Chantilly, Virginia 20151-3852, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Unicom Government, Inc. is the only known vendor offering Integrated Room Maintenance Service for Grant, and Tobin Conference rooms. The systems were previously awarded to and installed by Unicom Government Inc. They have specific knowledge regarding the system hardware and software including codecs that have been written for this interface. The system in question contains equipment and custom software was purchased, installed and specifically customized for DEVCOM Soldier Center by UNICOM. Only UNICOM can maintain, troubleshoot and manage their code they have written for this system. This system includes a Codec, advanced audio systems, camera systems and large-scale monitor displays which has customized capabilities by Unicom only.� Due to this reason other vendors would not have the operational understanding or access to these Unicom only customizations so when equipment breaks, needs updating, services performed, other vendors would have no access to the internal mechanics, institutional knowledge, or Unicom proprietary settings. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811210 and the size standard is $34.0M. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available.
