- This notice does not constitute a request for proposal or request for quotation nor does it commit the government to contract for these services. The intent of this notice is to provide the pre-solicitation notice as required by FAR 5.2, Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions in preparation for release of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) at a later date. On or about June 20, 2023, the Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE), Customer Acquisition Services (CAS), anticipates issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for US Department of Labor Wirtz Library�online access to business, sociology, and EconLit Full Text databases. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on an unrestricted basis for full and open competition. The NAICS code for this requirement is 519210 with a size standard of $21.0 million. Contractors shall not directly contact the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist to discuss this requirement.� During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity to submit relevant questions. The government contemplates a single time Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract with a period of performance consisting of a 12-month base period, four (4) 12-month option periods. SERVICE REQUIREMENTS: ??????The Wirtz Labor Library requires online access to business, sociology, and EconLit Full Text databases. These databases should include up-to-date access to collections of several thousand high quality full-text and indexed resources. Specific titles among these collections are required to ensure that Department of Labor (DOL) staff have access to the materials upon which they rely. The business database provides access to a wide variety of business resources, including journals, company profiles, and news resources related to employment, working conditions, and industry information. The sociology database provides access to a wide variety of sociological information resources related to gender studies, social work, and international studies. The EconLit Full Text database provides access to some of the highest quality economics research resources.
