Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Office of the Assistant Administrator (OAA), Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Alpena, MI, has a requirement for a multi-purpose winch to operate a side scan sonar system onboard research vessel at Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary (WSCNMS).�To document and monitor known sanctuary resources, and to systematically locate currently undiscovered resources, the sanctuary has purchased a side scan sonar system. A shipboard multi-purpose winch is required to utilize this system.�The multipurpose winch will be used with a side scan sonar system by WSCNMS and other Great Lakes national marine sanctuaries.
