General work requirements will include evaluation and interpretation of geochemistry datasets; evaluation and interpretation of gas measurements collected by domestic and international partners during episodes of volcanic unrest; populating geochemistry data in the EFIS/WOVOdat database and internal VEP database; providing training in geochemical measurement techniques, lab facilities, and data interpretation; assisting VEP and VDAP with conducting and evaluation CO2 flux/diffuse degassing measurements domestically and abroad; and performing field work to assess emission rates and gas composition of high-temperature volcanic gases as volcanoes domestically and abroad. Most work can be performed remotely (not in USGS offices) and some limited travel (to field sites, to meetings/conferences, or to USGS offices) is required. NAICS Code: 541690 Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services. Size Standard $16.5 million. PSC Code: B530 Special Studies/Analyses Seismological.
