Description
This Request for Information (RFI) is posted for informational purposes only and will be used to assist the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in determining the availability of eligible businesses with the technical capability necessary to successfully perform the requirements described herein. This is not a formal request for proposal (RFP) and does not commit CMS to award a contract now or in the future. CMS seeks to identify and solicit feedback from capable resources for using cutting edge technology, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), to gather and make available Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) prior authorization and claims requirements with the goal of reducing provider, patient, and payer burden. As part of this effort, CMS is interested in understanding the availability and potential technical capabilities of the business community to provide management, supervision, administration, and labor for building and maintaining the Medicare FFS Requirements Modernization (MFRM) interactive repository. Technology solutions should be able to identify, collate, and share Medicare FFS coverage, coding, documentation, and administrative requirements in both human readable and computer readable formats, and support accessibility to end users with and without Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
