- The Fleet Readiness Center Procurement Group Patuxent River, MD 20650 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to THOMAS INSTRUMENT, INCORPORATED (Cage Code: 5H860) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. COMFRC Aviation Support Equipment, Solomons, MD has a requirement for the performance of inspection, evaluation, test, repair, and calibration services on QTY 7 Starter Drive Speed Increasers (Part No. 9459M17G04).� THOMAS INSTRUMENT is the only known entity that possesses the proprietary original equipment manufacturer (OEM) technical data necessary to perform approved repairs on the Starter Drive Speed Increasers. Without this data, no other source is known that is capable of maintaining configuration control throughout the repair and which satisfies the Government's specific requirements.� For this reason, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from THOMAS INSTRUMENT, INCORPORATED (Cage Code: 5H860). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within fifteen (15) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
