THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS A PRELIMINARY MARKET RESEARCH:� NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES/SOURCES SOUGHT This Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) is being issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, Market Research. It is for information, planning and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as either a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Air Force. The Air Force will use this market research information to assess the market capability to successfully meet the Air Force's requirements for the performance of an ASIST Training the Trainer (T4T) and certifying 15 ASIST trainers, in order to mitigate suicides and the cost associated with it at Aviano Air Base, Italy. The Air Force welcomes responses from all interested parties. The general requirements are for the supply of four (4) qualified instructors to teach at Aviano Air Base, Italy to support the 2023 mandated Suicide Intervention Training. The Contracted ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skill Training) Instructors are to facilitate and train fifteen (15) attendees in a 5-day face-to-face training featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulation. Participants will learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive. The proposed Request for Information (RFI) is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete a future proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government intends to make award to LivingWorks Education USA, Inc., (910) 867-8822. Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the outcome of the Air Force's review of the information received. Additionally, the Air Force does not intend to hold discussions concerning this RFI with any interested parties. This request is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this announcement. However, the Air Force reserves the right to contact one or more of the respondents if additional information is required or to request demonstrations. Responses to this announcement will not be returned, nor will there be any ensuing discussions or debriefings of any responses. However, information obtained as a result of this announcement may be reflected in the subsequent solicitation if issued. This announcement is Government market research and may result in revisions in both its requirements and its acquisition strategy based on industry responses.
