- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapon Division (NAWCWD) , China lake, CA intends to award Firm Fixed Price and Cost only Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs).� This action is based on an other than full and open competition basis. This action will be a sole source to SAAB, AB, based on the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 justification for only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� SAAB is the original BOL dispenser manufacturer, and is the only source capable of performing this effort to meet fleet needs.� As the sole designer, developer, integrator, manufacturer and supplier of the BOL dispenser, SAAB is the only company that possesses the requisite knowledge, experience and technical expertise to recertify the BOL disperser Pods to fulfil the contract requirements.� The Government does not currently possess the BOL Dispenser technical data that would be required to perform this effort.� In order for any other vendor to accomplish this requirement they would require access to SAAB�s proprietary data.� Only SAAB has the technical data to ensure compatibility between software and aircraft systems due to upgrades and system enhancements that are made to the BOL Dispenser.� Deliveries will be made free on board (FOB) destination.� This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing its ability to do so without causing programmatic hardship or duplication of cost to the Government.� The written response shall reference N6893623R0024 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm�s experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule.� Responses and requires shall be submitted by email to roman.g.alaniz.civ@us.navy.mil and john.j.faria2.civ@us.navy.mil.� Award of this subject action is anticipated in late summer 2023.
