Description
This is a Sources Sought notice only. This is not a request for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The Government will not provide any reimbursement for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interest parties must response to that solicitation announcement separately. Responses to this notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation The purpose of this announcement is to perform market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 238220, (J048) with a size standard $19 million. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 1 (NCO 1) is seeking to identify any vendor capable of providing Safety Valve Replacement services per the Statement of Work below. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the requirement described below. Vendors are encouraged to submit information relative to their capabilities to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a statement that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. Information received from this Sources Sought shall be utilized to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 12PM EST, June 7, 2023. All responses under this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to issa.shawki@va.gov with Sources Sought #36C24123Q0744 in the subject line. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. This work covers all labor and materials for the following: DASV Safety Valve on Deaerator Tank Existing 4x6 Kunkle 6252KNM installed in 2009 Sized by DA Manufacturer (Cochrane) for 7059 lb/hr based on DA requirements and pressure 15 psi setpoint Replace with Cast Steel Spirax Sarco SV74XP 4x6 set to 15 psi with capacity of 9427 lb/hr SV-3 Safety Valve after PRV station feeding Deaerator Tank Existing 6x8 Spirax Sarco SV73QR15 installed in 2009 Sized for PRV-6,7 combination for 21,725 lb/hr 15 psi setpoint Replace with Cast Steel Spirax Sarco SV74YR 6x8 set to 15 psi with capacity of 23,624 lb/hr Existing PRV Existing 6x8 unknown safety valve, existing prior to 2009 unknown installation Design from 2009 DA project had option for new PRV station with new safety valve with design to replace the existing PRV setup which was not taken. That design called for individual PRV-3,4 with individual safety valves with total capacity of 56,674 lb/hr. PRV would be reducing from 100 psi to 65 psi. Safety valve would be set to 75 psi. Replace with a new Spirax Sarco SV74YR 6x8 set to 75 psi would have capacity of 73,629 lb/hr which exceeds what the design would have been. Contractor responsible for ensuring valves are transported and rigged properly for valve replacement to include scaffolding, rigging and movement of new valve and removal of old valves. In addition, to ensure installation of valves to be tested to ensure proper operation. Work includes re-insulation of all safety valves and any other associated piping needed for operation. There is to be minimal impact to Medical Center operations, all work to be completed off hours to include the shutdown and replacement of valves. Place of Performance: 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132 Period of Performance: 6 months. No options.
