- Description
- The purpose of Amendment I is to: Incorporate amended Statement of Requirements document; & Respond to industry inquiries. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged, as a result of this amendment. Question - The SOW specifies FID and ECD, but the analysis requirement specifies TCD to detect down to ppb that is not practically achieved. Does your scientist need TCD for oxygen/air/methane and ECD for Matrious oxides detection? The desired detectors are a flame ionization detector (FID) and electron capture detector (ECD). This error appears in both I. Specifications and VI. Acceptance criteria. The ECD will be used for nitrous oxide at, or around, a nominal 300 ppb (nmol/mol). Second question is about 10ml gas sampling loop. This is very high for gas chromatography technique. Is the 10ml a typo of 1.0ml? In some cases, trace analyses, the sample loop will need to be 10 mL. The third question is about sample injector. Is this sample inlet a packed inlet, split/splitless type? Does your scientist need an autosampler for liquid sample injection or for large volume gas sample? An autosampler for liquid samples is not needed here. This GC will be used for analyses of high-pressure gas samples delivered at a controlled pressure between 20 40 psig. The inlet will need to support these analyses performed with packed columns. The RFQ specifies a GC instrument with both Flame Ionization detection and electron capture detection but the system specifications only Flame Ionization and Thermal conductivity detection. Is this for a single GC and if so which detectors are you requiring? This is for a single GC with two detectors, a thermal conductivity detector and electron capture detector. COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION 1333ND23QNB640306 Gas Chromatograph This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as a supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued under the authority of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-02 effective 3/16/2023. The associated North America Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a Small Business size standard of 1,000 employees. This acquisition will be solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
