Description
The U.S Consulate General, Frankfurt provides the following Pre-Solicitation Notice regarding the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: DESIGN/BUILD CHILLER REPLACEMENT ��U.S. EMBASSY BAGHDAD, IRAQ The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to issue a Firm Fixed-Price Construction Type Contract in the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2023. The offeror shall provide complete construction services, contract coordination, and supervision, including but not limited to the management and construction necessary to meet the requirements of this contract within the established timeframe. The US Government has a requirement for installation of nine (9) government-furnished new chillers for nine (9) buildings along with chilled water piping, electrical connections, and commissioning.� The requirement includes the following but is not limited to: Remove nine (9) existing Air-Cooled Chiller units, 7 (seven) York (YCAV-0679S) and 2 (Two)York ((YCAV-0889S) and replace them with a new chillers 7 (seven) York (YVAA0213 -210 TR) and 2 (Two)York ((YVAA0273 -272 TR) on the roofs of Annex 1, Annex 2, MWR and SDAs 1 to SDA6 (one chiller for each building). Work includes disconnection and reconnection of the existing electrical feed, piping, and pipe insulation as required for a complete and fully operational system. Contractor shall remove existing supply and return chilled water piping up to isolation valves and replace with new supply and return lines. Existing breakers for the existing chillers may require replacement.� The contractor must size, furnish, and install new breakers and thermal overload relays that meet new chiller specifications.� Contractor shall be responsible for design of all mechanical systems required for a complete installation of the new chillers system. Complete Statement of Work and specifications and drawings will be provided in the solicitation. Pursuant to Subpart 36.204 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the estimated magnitude for the entire project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 U.S. Dollars (Note:� the prescribed FAR range determinations provide relatively wide ranges only, in order to give potential offerors a very general orientation as to the magnitude of the work.� However, the specified range is not meant to give any indication as to the Independent Government Cost Estimate for this project, which could be at the lower or the upper end of the range indicated).� Qualified companies interested in the solicitation shall express their interest by written correspondence to the attention of Ms. Wencke Jacobsen at JacobsenW@state.gov �no later than�June 30, 2023, using the solicitation number 19GE5023R0081 in the subject line. DO NOT TELEPHONE. All requests for a copy of the solicitation MUST include the following information: Name of Firm, Unique Entity Identifier (Former Dun�s #), Name, Telephone and Email Address of Point of Contact and Complete Physical and Mailing Address of Firm.� The solicitation package/documents shall not be placed on SAM.gov as the documents contain SBU information.� Only companies submitting a letter of interest and complete �Application for Solicitation Document� check list attached hereto may receive a copy of the solicitation package/documents when available. The solicitation package will only be available in the English language. All requirements for translations will be at the expense of the Contractor. Additionally, you are required to complete and include in your expression of interest the below checklist. All requests for the solicitation document that are submitted without the checklist, or with an incomplete checklist, will be rejected. Firms shall be knowledgeable in written and spoken English and possess all appropriate permits and licenses to perform construction work in Iraq. � A pre-proposal conference and site visit and shall be tentatively scheduled for July 2023, precise dates will be provided to interested offerors with the solicitation package.
