- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6-Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice will be posted for less than 15 days in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(2). Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-23-Q-0166. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) on a sole source basis �for REMUS 300 Operators and Basic Maintenance Training.� This requirement can only be met by HII as it is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the REMUS 300 vehicle and it does not have any resellers for the required REMUS 300 training. This procurement is solicited on an unrestricted basis �as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business (OSBP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 611699. The Small Business Size Standard is $16.5 million dollars. CLIN 0001: REMUS unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) Operators and Basic Maintenance Training in accordance with the Statement of Work, P/N: S-50193, FY: 2023 CLIN 0002: Option 1 for REMUS unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) Operators and Basic Maintenance Training in accordance with the Statement of Work, P/N: S-50193, FY: 2024, Contractor to provide REMUS UUV . CLIN 0003: Option 2 for REMUS unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) Operators and Basic Maintenance Training in accordance with the Statement of Work, P/N: S-50193, FY: 2024, Government to provide REMUS UUV as GFP. CLIN 0004: Option 3 for REMUS unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) Operators and Basic Maintenance Training in accordance with the Statement of Work, P/N: S-50193, FY: 2025, Contractor to provide REMUS UUV . CLIN 0005: Option 4 for REMUS unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) Operators and Basic Maintenance Training in accordance with the Statement of Work, P/N: S-50193, FY: 2025, Government to provide REMUS UUV as GFP. CLIN 0006: Option 5 for REMUS unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) Operators and Basic Maintenance Training in accordance with the Statement of Work, P/N: S-50193, FY: 2026, Contractor to provide REMUS UUV. CLIN 0007: Option 6 for REMUS unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) Operators and Basic Maintenance Training in accordance with the Statement of Work, P/N: S-50193, FY: 2026, Government to provide REMUS UUV as GFP. Training location shall be at HII facilities. Options have been included for the inclusion and exclusion of the REMUS UUV as GFP. It is anticipated only one option will be exercised each fiscal year. �� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. These rates�may�be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The�option�provision�may�be exercised more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder�shall�not exceed 6 months. The�Contracting Officer�may�exercise the�option�by written notice to the Contractor up to�60 days before the period of performance start date. (End of clause) 52.217-9�Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. �(a)�The Government�may�extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within�60 days; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least�60_days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b)�If the Government exercises this�option, the extended contract�shall�be considered to include this�option�clause. (c)�The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any�options�under this clause,�shall�not exceed�__twelve months.
