Description
Amend 0001 is being issued to provide questions and answers and extend proposal due date to June 6, 2023. 1) Is the current software called VideoXpert? Answer: See section 2.b.ii of the Performance Work Statement: Existing CCV System utilizes a Pelco VideoXpert Pro Power recording platform in a redundant array of independent disks (RAID) 6 configuration. Current operating version is Pelco VideoXpert VxOpsCenter v3.10.1.6, with Pelco VideoXpert VxToolbox v3.10.1.16software. 2) For the 2 cameras in the parking lot on the pole- can I use the current ground box in the green space to gain access to inside the building and bore to the center of the lot next to the pole, use a fiber and a small converter to hardwire those 2 cameras? Its P&Ts opion that wireless cameras are more maintenance and are not nearly as reliable as hard wired cameras. Answer: Use of new wireless cameras or other wireless devices shall not be permitted under as part of the Solicitation. 3) Would the Government consider 2 new cameras on G building to help cover the back parking lot? See attached picture: The Solicitation shall include installation of a minimum of 2 cameras providing view of the east parking lot viewed from G Building. Cameras shall meet requirements as outlined in this other wireless. 4) Regarding the 48h break fix, the language used in the solicitation is pretty vague. Would you mind elaborate a little bit on that. Answer: See 2.e.x.2.x Warranty Work and Services, states: Should any Contractor supplied part, component, workmanship or system, fail within that period of time, the Contractor shall immediately replace or repair that part, component, or system within 48 hours at no further cost to the Government. If the Contractor is unable to start and/or finish the repair or replacement, the Contractor shall be liable for all costs incurred by the Government to correct the issue(s). As an example, if a camera is found to be offline, and the Government notifies the Contractor of the issue, the Contractor has 48 hours to arrive and perform troubleshooting. If the Contractor does not send a qualified service technician within 48 hours, or if the Contractor is unable to supply the replacement parts or perform the repair service, the Government may seek another vendor capable of performing the repairs. The Contractor shall be responsible for all additional costs incurred from the outside vendor performing the repairs. 5) Our partner no longer dos Pelco systems as they are primarily Bosch for VCC applications. Do we have an alternative option to use the Bosch certified technicians for this contract. Answer: The system utilizes Pelco cameras and Pelco Videoexpert software. This Contract requires the Contractor to demonstrate capability of servicing the Government's Pelco cameras and system components. 6) For the existing Wireless Mesh Network that is used for the Gate Cameras, can you share the brand/model currently in place? Would it be acceptable/preferable to quote to add a stanchion to that? Answer: The wireless network devices are KCB WES3 point to point controllers. 7) For the Front parking lot would USGS have someone provide boring for the two new cameras, or should that be included in base bid pricing? If another contractor is not providing boring service, would adding a Fluidmesh Pointto-point system be an acceptable alternative? Answer: All work to install a fully finished and complete camera install at all locations, including any boring or trenching and restoration of any removed curbing, parking lot, or grounds disturbed by the construction work, shall be included in the Contractors Bid. Use of new wireless cameras or other wireless devices shall not be permitted under as part of the Solicitation. 8) While our team was on-site, we were told there was a camera on Lower Level D being added outside of the stairwell. Can those prints be provided. Answer: See attached.
