- This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 124 E. Hwy 67 Suite 100 Duncanville Texas 75134 for the procurement of 2 BUNDLE M5 MICRODE BRIDER W/INSTR TRAYs (BRAND NAME). Background and Requirement: Service is currently using an outdated system that has reached its end of life and will no longer be supported for services. The BUNDLE M5 MICRODE BRIDER W/INSTR TRAY is to replace an outdated system. SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT REQUIRED: 2x BUNDLE M5 MICRODE BRIDER W/INSTR TRAY. See attached Statement of Work. New equipment must have the following key features: Must be SMALLER, LIGHTER, and FASTER THAN THE M4 Ergonomically engineered for balance and performance The Straightshot M5 is the first microdebrider capable of 30,000 rpm. Direct-drive motor with straight-through suction Must provide a Gearless operation as the M5 Easy-turn rotation wheel Versatile technology for your or Will need to work as the M5 works with 125+ blades and burs Needs to provide 30K high-speed burs for frontal sinus surgery Other burs work well, but will not allow 30,000 rpm Factory calibrated EM blades for FUSION ENT Navigation Quadcut blades that helps to reduce clogging Up to 10 times more effectiveness when removing material as compared to Medtronic XPS Burs Must have Integrated irrigation with Distal suction If this is an item your business can provide, please respond to this Sources Sought Notice by 3:00 PM Central Time on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. The M5 Microdebrider is a state-of-the-art surgical hand piece. These procedures typically involve three instruments simultaneously inserted into a single nasal and sinus cavity that results in instrument and hand interferences throughout surgery.
