Description
The National Weather Service Office of Observations (OBS) is responsible for the operations and maintenance of automated fielded systems that sense the atmosphere in support of surface based Aviation Operations. The ASOS program is an essential, joint mission in support of the National Weather Service (NWS), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Department of Defense (DOD). The ASOS is the nation's primary system for collecting and reporting surface-weather observations, primarily at airports in support of aviation operations, as well as weather forecasting and the timely issuance of warnings. There are approximately 960 ASOS sites globally. It is the intention of the Government to plan an acquisition to purchase Temperature Relative Humidity (TRH) power supply kits and mounting hardware for the National Logistics Support Center to be used by the ASOS. These power supply kits are to be stocked as logistical spares and are issued to National Weather Service Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS) maintenance technicians to update and replace ASOS sites with TRH sensors, power supplies and mounting hardware. This power supply electronic assembly specifically integrates into the ASOS TRH Vaisala, Inc. model HPM155. The contractor can propose solutions to the provided build to print TRH Power Supply Kit and/or TRH mounting hardware. Interested vendors can provided capabilities for either the power supply or the hardware. If a vendor can provide both, please state that in your response.
