Description

Request for Information (RFI): This RFI is to identify commercially available technologies that may support ERDC�s research for a Handheld Multi-frequency EM sensor for Sea Ice Thickness and Characterization. This RFI for planning/information purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise of a contract by the Government. This is not a solicitation. This notice does not constitute a Request for Bid, Request for Quote or Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey Potential offerors having the technical solutions, skills, and/or capabilities necessary to support the described project are invited to respond to this notice� All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. This project is intended under FAR Part 12 � Acquisition of Commercial Items utilizing FAR Part 13- Simplified Acquisition Procedures.� This requirement is being advertised under the following NAICS Code: � NAICS Code 334519: - Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing Responses to this notice are due within 14 days of the publication of this notice. Submissions will be considered based on ability to meet the requirements, projected performance, and cost.� After review of the submissions, vendors for the technologies and methods meeting the requirements may be invited to discuss their systems with the government for further evaluation and may be invited to participate in validation testing to support future acquisitions. INTERESTED VENDORS MUST RESPOND TO THIS RFI NOTICE NO LATER THAN 2 JUNE 2023 12pm EST.� Responses must be submitted via email to William.A.McFarland@usace.army.mil
