Description
36C24723F0223 BIBB, PERRY, Warner Robins Courier Services Base plus 4 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Is the driver supposed to pick up and hold the documentation from Dublin and keep/hold overnight for delivery to the CBOCS the next day, or can the driver pick up the supplies and documentation from Dublin in the morning for the trip to the CBOCS? SOW has been revised. There are no overnight holds on government documents. Is the driver supposed to return to Dublin after picking up from the CBOCS each day? Yes. If so, then each new delivery day would start from Dublin? Yes, that is correct. If so, am I correct that this would be a 220-mile round trip daily? Yes, based off of the estimated mileage in the statement of work. It appears from the schedules that there will be pickups 5 times per day. Is this correct? This is one continuous trip starting at Dublin and ending at Dublin daily. The starting point is Dublin VAMC correct?  Yes Then to Warner Robins.?  Yes I am trying to distinguish between originating and starting as described in the RFQ document.  This is one continuous trip starting at Dublin and ending at Dublin daily. What was the cost of the final full option year of the previous contract? $66,000.00 How many drivers/vehicles are being used to service the current contract?  1 driver What is the vehicle size currently servicing this location? Reg. size COVERED sadden, to be prepared for all weather conditions. Do you accept CPARs evaluations as additional Past Performance information? Yes Regarding specific employees information: It is common practice for small businesses that the drivers, cars and other equipment used for a contract are not sourced until after an award has been made, for cost effectiveness and to reduce loss. However, we will be forwarding our standard Training Certificates-Procedures for your reference, is this information acceptable? Yes Is this a new contract? Yes Is there a difference in the pricing sheets after 0005 and some of the dates overlap? B.1 Price Cost Schedule revised What does the 12 MO 56000 mean at the beginning of each contract period represent? Removed from line item Can you provide info on current contract amount and service provider? $5,500.00 /Safeguard What was the award amount of the previous contract? $5,500.00 Is there a vehicle size requirement? No a standard sedan /suv works fine. Is there a required wait time at each pickup location? No, pick up and go. Our understanding is that the route is a daily route Monday thru Friday excluding federal holidays, is this correct? Yes. The Price/Cost Schedule seems to accidentally list the same run/CLIN in multiple ways for the base and option years (0001-0005, then 1001-1005 and so on)-Revised In the previous solicitation from 12/30/22 (36C24723Q0223) there was also a quote needed for five miscellaneous trips per CBOC per year. We assume this is no longer needed? Yes, this is correct. What are the safety, temperature and humidity requirements in this case and how is this handled under the current contract? All vehicles must have working ac to keep items at regulated temp.  Currently the safety/temperature/humidity requirements are meet with the current contractor having all vehicles equipped with air conditioning. Will also soiled instruments get picked up at the CBOC s? If yes, what are the specific handling requirements for those? No soiled instruments get picked up at the CBOC. SOW states that The pick-ups will need to be coordinated with the Nurse Manager(s) or designated team member(s) at the Warner Robins AFB/Macon/Perry CBOC s to be picked up between the hours of 13:30-14:00PM. The driving time between the Robins AFD, Macon and Perry is approximately 1:06, so using only one driver would make it impossible to pick up all three locations in that time frame. Time has been revised Will there be some flexibility for the pickup times? I see that the previous solicitation listed a window from 11am 3:45pm. Yes GA The pick-ups will need to be coordinated with the Nurse Manager(s) or designated team member(s) at the Warner Robins AFB/Macon/Perry CBOC s to be picked up between the hours of 11:30PM 4:00PM daily Monday through Friday, and Contractor will ensure that specimens collected at CBOC s arrive at the Dublin VAMC Laboratory Department on or before 4:00PM daily. Am I correct that this is only a 2.5 window to pick up all the specimens and mail from the CBOCs and make the drive to Dublin by 4 PM for a 110-mile trip? Time has been adjusted. This is an estimated time frame, more/less time may be needed/adjusted accordingly.   Can the driver start picking up the items at the CBOCS any earlier to take into account bad weather or road conditions?  Yes Am I correct that on one day the driver does one continuous pick-up and drive from the first CBOC to Dublin and then on the next morning start from Dublin back to the first CBOC? Yes, that is correct. The Contractor will provide a training program that describes initial training and annual training and provide such proof to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and the Laboratory Department Manager. Do you want the training program to be a document or a presentation? Documentation will be fine. I was confused because the solicitation says the trip originates from Warner Robins AFB, but if the driver must be back in Dublin that same afternoon by 4 PM,  then the trip couldn t start each day from Warner Robins unless the driver drove back from Dublin to Warner that evening-Yes?  Sorry for any confusion, all trips start at Dublin, the 1st stop is Warner Robins. Dublin VAMC in 1826 Veterans Blvd Dublin, GA, Warner Robins AFB CBOC, located 655 7th Street Building 700 Robins AFB, GA 31098, Bibb County CBOC, located at 5580 Thomaston Rd, Macon, GA, and the Perry VA CBOC, located at 2370 Houston Lake Rd, Perry GA 31069. What was the value of the last contract? $5,500 monthly.
