Description
This effort is required to support AFLCMC/WNY EW systems Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) requirements as well as Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI). Specific external interfaces between the relevant RF test stations currently in the EWAISF and other DoD agencies will be required to implement total force virtual EW system test and evaluation at digital and higher fidelity. Integration of the Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) with the EWAISF suite of digital and RF test systems is an on-going work effort with multiple ground based IADS already implemented. Interface of LIVE, SILC, SERCE+ and WEEW are in various stages of DIADS integration. Airborne radar and both surface-to-air and air-to-air missile seeker high fidelity open and closed loop intelligence community (IC) modeling and simulation elements are missing from this IADS diagram. This work effort will further the AFLCMC/WNY EWAISF capability to provide threat representative Integrated Air Defense RF signals of interest for total EW systems HITL testing in a time dynamic operational representative RF environment. This work effort will build upon existing Intelligence Community (IC) parametric, engineering and emulative data. Each STIMS-3 prototype shall output pulse descriptor words in Platinum Blue format that digitally represent the waveform output. Correction, perfection and adaptation of airborne radar and integrated missile seeker software models, simulations and emulators requires experienced technical staff with specialized engineering subject matter expertise to provide an acceptable technical risk for accomplishment. Required engineering expertise includes technical areas of air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, missile seekers, modeling and simulation, IC analysis processes, IC engineering STIMS-3 prototype development, testing and integration with systems using industry standard digital interface protocol. In addition, engineering expertise is required in Electromagnetic Warfare modeling and simulation from initial physics-based research, threat system capability analysis to high-fidelity time dynamic operational engagement total force many-on-many scenarios.
